FG Bond

Earth bonding, built into the fitting. The integrated bonding nut makes earthing easier than ever, eliminating separate clamps and the fiddly, time-consuming methods installers have put up with for years.

Why it matters

With gas plumbing, safety is the priority.

All gas lines must be electrically bonded. Using our patent-pending integrated bonding terminal with Flexigas fittings makes bonding simple and easy, removing the need for clamps and the fiddly, time-consuming methods installers have put up with for years.

One terminal, threaded straight onto the fitting. No separate clamp, no bare tube section to find and grip.

How it works

Bonded in four steps.

The bonding terminal is part of the fitting, so the earth connection happens right where you make the joint.

  1. 1 Attach the bonding nut to the fitting body using the pre-drilled holes.
  2. 2 Fit the "Safety electrical connection, do not remove" warning label between the terminal and the nut.
  3. 3 Strip 1 to 2 cm of copper from the earth conductor.
  4. 4 Screw it down, with the cable running parallel to the tube. Done.

Certified

Included in the Flexigas BSI Kitemark.

The Flexigas integrated bonding terminal is included in our Kitemark from BSI and has been certified as meeting the relevant tests from BS 951:2009. It meets the requirements of BS 6891 and BS 7671 for equipotential bonding of gas pipework.

BS 951:2009

Tested by BSI to the earthing and bonding clamp specification.

BS 6891 & BS 7671

Meets the requirements for equipotential bonding of gas pipework.

A traditional BS 951:2009 bonding clamp can still be used where the existing installation requires it. See the FG Bond data sheet.
